Weather update

Just so you know...We got our first snowfall last night and it's supposed to snow a little today. It's not cold enough to stick yet, but still....CRAZY!!

Fall Nature Walk

It is absolutely gorgeous here, so we decided to go on a nature walk today. The boys loved leading the way, romping around and picking up the different leaves. We also spotted two deer on one of the trails.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Grandma Pam came for a visit and we decided to take her to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. What a great little zoo in middle of the city. They had excellent exhibits for the kids and the tiger even roared for us!!

Indian Shores Beach Trip

Will and I went to Indian Shores, Florida with some good friends for a weekend getaway. We had a great time eating, drinking, boating and relaxing.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Today is Will's birthday. The boys made a scavenger hunt for him to find his presents, made his favorite cake, and had me decorate the house for his special day. They love daddy's birthday, and I can't wait to see what they do for NovAmber 9th!!

Pupa Ed Visits

Pupa Ed came for a super quick trip. The boys kept him very busy with science experiments, baseball, board games, and a trip to Notre Dame. We can't wait for him to come again!

First Day of School

One of my FAVORITE days of the year!!! I swear it's earlier every year though.

Iowa State Fair

We wanted the full Midwest experience, so we went to the Iowa State Fair while in Des Moines for Will's cousin's wedding. We had the best corndogs EVER, got to see the butter cow and tons of livestock, and ride a few rides. The boys had so much they want to go back next year!

Cubs Win!!!

On the way to Iowa, we stopped in Chicago to see the Cubs play the Astros. It was amazing!! There's nothing like drinking beer & cheering the Cubbies on with all the other people who called in sick!

Colin earned $20 for eating a fork-full of jalapenos. After the game, we took a fireworks "cruise" on a speed boat from Navy Pier. We won't be taking that tour again at night!

4th of July Weekend

We had a busy 4th of July weekend. We went tubing at a friends house in Michigan and went to Indy with some friends.
